The Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (AVAA) has represented the profession with pride and purpose since 1952. Built on a foundation of standards, integrity, and education, AVAA has long championed excellence, credibility, and trust, providing leadership and guidance across the auction and valuation sector.

The 2025–2030 Strategic Plan builds on this legacy with a renewed commitment to strengthening the profession’s future. It sets a clear direction to ensure auctioneers and valuers remain respected, skilled, and influential contributors to Australia’s economy, while reinforcing confidence in the profession’s ongoing relevance and impact.

AVAA builds future-ready professionals by revitalising learning frameworks, delivering advanced training, and ensuring accessible pathways for continuous development, credibility, and professional excellence across the auctioneering and valuation industry.

Pillar 2— Advocacy

AVAA protects and promotes the profession by influencing regulation, amplifying members’ voices, strengthening recognition, and ensuring fair policies that highlight members’ value and safeguard their role in the economy.

Pillar 3 — Ethical & Professional Standards

AVAA reinforces trust by embedding integrity, accountability, and compliance through a refreshed Code of Ethics, mandatory ethics training, and rigorous oversight programs that ensure public confidence and uphold professional credibility.

Pillar 4 — Member Value & Engagement

AVAA delivers value by enhancing digital services, attracting new professionals, and fostering engagement through programs, events, and recognition, strengthening member connection and the profession’s standing nationwide.

Developed through collaboration between the AVAA Board and executive leadership, the plan responds to challenges while harnessing opportunities. It outlines a strong vision, mission, and values, including integrity, professionalism, and accountability, which will guide the Association’s actions and achievements over the next five years.

Implementation of the plan will be supported by structured governance, annual business plans, and transparent monitoring. Enablers such as operational excellence, digital transformation, and financial sustainability will underpin delivery, while risks are actively managed. The Association is committed to delivering measurable outcomes that strengthen both the profession and member value.

By 2030, AVAA aims to be firmly recognised as the authoritative national voice of auctioneers and valuers. The 2025-30 Strategic Plan marks a decisive step in advancing the Association’s leadership journey, ensuring a resilient, trusted, and thriving future for the profession and those it serves across Australia.
