As auction and valuation businesses become increasingly reliant on digital platforms, online transactions, and data-driven systems, cyber security and technology governance have become core business risks requiring informed, proactive management across the sector. The Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (AVAA) provides the opportunity for the sector to understand these issues.

The AVAA IT And Cyber Security Interest Group provides AVAA Corporate Members with a structured channel to receive timely, sector-specific information on technology, cyber risk, and digital compliance issues, supporting stronger business resilience. The aim is to ensure that the auction and valuation sectors are able to make informed business and investment decisions with increased confidence, risk awareness and incident readiness.

Participation in the AVAA IT And Cyber Security Interest Group is open to any employ of an AVAA Corporate Members. It enables staff networking, fostering collaborative relationships between professionals who share common technology and cyber security interests, challenges, and responsibilities, strengthening peer learning, practical problem-solving, and cross-business insight within the auction and valuation sectors.
