Members of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (AVAA) have access to a new way to establish their professional credentials online through the introduction of digital badges. These exclusive badges provide instant, verifiable proof of expertise, helping clients and colleagues recognise AVAA members as trusted professionals at a glance.
This initiative, a key outcome of the 2025–30 AVAA Strategic Plan, places the Association at the forefront of raising the standing of auctioneers and valuers nationwide.
Digital badges are modern, verifiable symbols of achievement. When displayed on LinkedIn, email signatures, websites, or proposals, each badge can be clicked to reveal verified details of the member’s credential—what it represents, when it was issued, and the standards that sit behind it. Clients, businesses, and government gain immediate confidence that they are dealing with a professional who meets AVAA’s recognised benchmarks for skill, integrity, and ongoing development.
The badges will be issues to eligible AVAA members in late September 2025 along with the online tools to help them provide verifiable recognition that they are valid. A sample of the badges is set out below:
For AVAA members, this new benefit is practical and powerful. Therr digital badge is portable, instantly recognisable, and adaptable to every professional setting. Whether networking online, submitting a proposal, or presenting credentials to a client, the badge reinforces their credibility in real time. It aligns them with the global trend of portable credentials that showcase achievement in a digital-first world.
For non-members, the introduction of AVAA digital badges creates a new challenge. Clients will increasingly look for the badge as a quick way to verify who can be trusted. Those without it will find themselves at a disadvantage when competing for work, as the absence of a badge speaks just as loudly as its presence. Exclusivity is part of its strength, as they only AVAA Certified Practising Auctioneers and AVAA Certified Practising Valuers who meet the requirements, commit to professional development, and uphold the AVAA Code of Ethics can display the badge.
The launch of AVAA digital badges is more is a statement that the profession is modern, accountable, and future-focused. For members, it is a new tool to showcase expertise. For those outside, it is a reminder of the standards expected of trusted professionals.
AVAA digital badges make professionalism visible, verifiable, and impossible to ignore.
End.
