Women in auctioneering and valuation have growing leadership opportunities, supported by Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) scholarships designed to strengthen careers and future industry impact.
The auction and valuation professions play a pivotal role in Australia’s cultural, commercial, and legal frameworks. From fine art and antiques through to vehicles, plant and equipment, and general goods, auctioneers and valuers provide expertise that underpins trust, transparency, and confidence. As these sectors modernise and adapt to the digital economy, opportunities for women to step into leadership roles have never been stronger.
To help women maximise these opportunities, WLA is offering partial scholarships valued between $700 and $3,000 for one of four leadership and workplace skill development programs. These nationally recognised programs are specifically designed to support women at all stages of their careers, from entry-level professionals through to senior executives, equipping them with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to lead effectively.
Each program blends flexible, part-time delivery with cutting-edge workplace insights, ensuring women can balance study alongside their professional and personal commitments. For more information on the scholarships, visit:
Participants will explore essential leadership capabilities, workplace communication, and strategic thinking, while benefiting from peer networking and tailored support. This combination of theory and practical application means graduates walk away with skills that can be immediately implemented in their organisations.
For women in the auction and valuation sectors, these scholarships are particularly significant. Professional pathways in these fields are expanding, with increasing recognition of the need for strong governance, client service, and digital capability. By equipping women with advanced leadership and workplace skills, these programs will help diversify leadership pipelines and strengthen the profession as a whole. Whether leading an auction house, managing valuation practices, or influencing sector strategy, women who step forward now can help shape the industry’s future direction.
Importantly, this is the final scholarship round for 2025, with applications closing on Friday 24 October 2025, unless allocated earlier. With high demand anticipated, interested women are encouraged to apply promptly to secure their place.
Ends.
