Identifying AVAA Certified Auctioneers and AVAA Certified Valuers has become easier with these professionals having access to digital badges to denote their current membership of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (AVAA).

AVAA members who have renewed their membership for 2026 are now being issued with new digital badges. These badges provide a modern, recognisable way for credentialled professionals to showcase on social media challenges their standing as trusted members of Australia’s auction and valuation community.

The AVAA Certified Auctioneer and AVAA Certified Valuer credentials recognise professionals who have met defined eligibility requirements and standards. For auctioneers, certification reflects verified experience, professional conduct, ongoing development, and appropriate safeguards that support confidence in the auction process. For valuers, certification recognises the capability to deliver informed, accountable valuation services supported by professional standards, evidence-based methodology, and appropriate compliance measures.

The digital badges provide a clear and consistent signal of credibility, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining AVAA membership requirements. Importantly, the badges help members communicate the value of certification in a simple, visual way that clients can quickly recognise and understand.

For certified professionals, the digital badges are a practical tool that can be used on LinkedIn and other social media platforms plus websites.

For clients and consumers, the digital badges offer an additional layer of confidence when selecting an auctioneer or valuer. Choosing an AVAA Certified Auctioneer or AVAA Certified Valuer means engaging someone who has been independently credentialled through a member-driven professional association and who is committed to maintaining professional standards. These standards promote quality practice, accountability, and trust, particularly in high-stakes situations such as deceased estates, insurance matters, taxation purposes, commercial decision-making, and asset sales.

The badges also promote the professionalism that exists across the auction and valuation sectors. They reflect the expertise, diligence, and integrity that AVAA members bring to their work, and help reinforce the importance of experienced and properly credentialled professionals in delivering sound outcomes for clients.

This initiative forms part of AVAA’s broader member-driven efforts to raise the profile of the profession, strengthen consumer awareness, and support higher standards across the industry. Members make a difference through their participation on the AVAA Membership & Professional Standards Committee.
