The AVAA is the leading National Body of Auctioneers & Valuers of fine art, antiques and collectables, goods, chattels, plant and equipment. Certified Auctioneer and Valuer Members are required to demonstrate knowledge, skills, experience and ability to adhere to the Association's professional and ethical standards. All Members are required to maintain Professional Indemnity insurance and practising Auctioneer Members are also required to operate a Trust Account which is audited annually.

AVAA National Conference 2016
The AVAA National Conference will be held on Thursday 26 May at the University of New South Wales CBD Campus, Level 6, 1 O'Connell Street, Sydney. This confernce represents a unique opportunity for professional development on industry specific topics from exceptional speakers. This year's conference will cover Australian consumer laws, procurement and tendering, an insight into five decades in the antiques business, the state of the insolvency sector, and the rise of classic cars as an investment category.
