ABOUT THE AVAA

The AVAA is Australia’s peak national body of Auctioneers and Valuers of fine art, antiques and collectables, goods, chattels, plant and equipment. Certified Auctioneer and Valuer Members are required to demonstrate knowledge, skills, experience and adhere to the Association’s professional and ethical standards.

The objectives of the Association are to secure and elevate the standard of the professions of Auctioneers and Valuers by the dissemination of professional knowledge and the inculcation of sound practice and to afford means of reference for amicable settlement of professional differences and to decide upon questions of professional usage of etiquette.
